The Vampire Diaries (season 6) The Vampire Diaries, a one-hour American supernatural drama, will soon be returning for its highly anticipated sixth season which will premiere on October 2, 2014. The supernatural drama 'Vampire Diaries' will soon be returning for its highly anticipated sixth season, and to give viewers a preview of the upcoming events, teasers for the show were recently released.
One of the videos shows Caroline having a picnic with Sheriff Forbes, where the two discussed how Caroline and the rest are dealing with the loss of Bonnie, after she and Damon disappeared someplace.
Through the conversation between Caroline and Sheriff Forbes, it was revealed that Elena seems nonchalant about the fact that she just lost her boyfriend. "Elena has clearly taken up residence in planet denial, where football is more important than her boyfriend being swept away into oblivion," said Caroline.
Another clip was also released, where Alaric, Liv, and Tyler were shown in a class discussing the topic of "occult" and "resurrection." Aside from what the videos previewed, viewers can also expect more conflicts in Season 6.
Executive producer Julie Plec told fans that there will be more than one "conflict provider," but one will be somewhat of a majorly different villain."There is a villain-esque person in this season that I'm particularly excited about because it does break the mold a little bit of our villains, which seem to be often very redeemable in their own way," Julie Plec, the show's executive producer told Entertainment Weekly."And we get to explore the deep, dark minds of a psychopathic personality, so I'm very excited about that," Plec added.
In addition to this, the executive producer previously mentioned about having a "big bad" in the upcoming season. "It's a long, slow-burn mythology that will unfold over the course of the entire season and will really impact each of our character in deep ways and it's smart and it's interesting and it's small, which I like," she told E! Online. Along with all this the premiere on October 2nd will also answer the questions at least partially.
"Where did they go? That mystery is addressed in the first episode in an unexpected way, though the aftermath of their disappearance is felt throughout," revealed The Hollywood reporter, citing a premiere screening and executive producer Caroline Dries.
So be glued to your Television screen to watch the premiere of The Vampire Diaries Season 6.
