Agents of Shield 2 News, Reveals, Reviews and Release Dates: Potential Role Reversal for Both Fitz and Agent Ward
The second season of the hit series Agents of Shield is set to premiere on September 23rd this year. From the looks of things, there is going to be a big upset in the plot, and the cast portrayals. For example, Agent Ward may be on the road towards redemption. When we left of in the first season Ward was revealed to be part of Hydra. On the other hand, actor Brett Dalton claimed that he does not like to view the role as the villain and truth be told, it was not what the fans were expecting at the time. Dalton told Seat42F "I like to consider myself an antihero, not a villain." It may be the producers and writers are of the same opinion and we might just find that Ward is fighting for the good guys again, because face it, we are already used to it.
According to the latest rumors, Ward may not be the only one who is going to change the role representation for the second season. Leo Fitz is apparently up for the dark side possibly. The engineer was comatose at the end of the first season after having confessed his love for his colleague, Jemma Simmons. Fitz was barely alive and in a hyperbaric chamber in order to recover from his injuries. He was oxygen deprived for a little too long and this could have led to brain damage.
There is a new poster of the second season, with Fitz on the cover and it teases "What ill he become". It could be that when Fitz finally wakes up, he will be totally different and those that are around him will not realize it. The other option is that his mental faculties will not be as good as they were which will devastate both him and Jemma. This could turn him dark after having to deal with the fact that he can no longer work together with the love of his love.
