3C Live “Send Your Rain” Album Review

Prime Cuts: Till the Whole World Knows, Now Until Forever, To Know You
Missionary pioneer William Carey used to say: "Expect great things for God; attempt great things for God." When it comes to God's and his glory, 3C Live hold nothing back. One listen to this newly released DREAM Worship album, you know that great things are at our threshold when 3C Live worships. Opening all cylinders, they sing with a holy abandonment vacating their all before the throne of God when they worship with their big, big sound. If you want to truly experience worship in its most dynamic form, give this CD a spin. Moreover, the lyrics of these 10 newly crafted songs boldly exalt God without an ounce of tentative reservation.
3C LIVE is a dynamic, multi-racial Worship Team from 3C a multi-site, vibrant and fast-growing church with over 21,000 members in South Africa. Their passion for God is contagious and very evident in their ministry all over the world and in their music! The album is a fun, powerful and dynamic worship album filled with songs that every church will want to put in their rotation! The album was recorded LIVE and in studio in beautiful South Africa.
Easily one of the most arresting track on the record is "Till the Whole World Knows Your Name." Combing EDM tones with lots of danceable hooks, "Till the Whole World" gets our feet moving as we boldly pray for open doors that His fame might be broadcasted. "Revolution" bristles with Hillsong Y&F-esque electronic beats as the team gives articulation to the earth-toppling ways of Jesus Christ. The title track "Send Your Rain," which uniquely combines black Gospel and EDM together, has a ring of prophetic boldness to it that calls to mind the fearlessness of the Hebrew prophets such as Elijah and Moses.
"Great God" relies less on EDM. Rather, more in line with traditional Gospel, "Great God" sets to music the words of Paul from Ephesians 3:18. Taking a recess from those swelling beats is the more organic sounding ballad "To Know You." Warm, intimate, and so refreshingly heartfelt, "To Know You" ought to be our prayer each morning to God. "Mercy Endures" continues on the same trajectory of earnest worship. Digging into smooth R&B-driven Gospel, "Now Until Forever" gives the team and us lots of contemplative moments to freely express their loyalty to our Lord.
One has to approach this album with care. When 3C Live sing about God, they really mean it. Thus, when they sing about Jesus causing a revolution (as in the album opener "Revolution"), you can expect a revolution churning as we worship along.
