We have the latest for you on the spoilers, news and latest reveals of Days of Our Lives. Well for those who missed out on last week's episodes on Days of Our Lives, you missed a lot as last week was a milestone in the show's history as it saw Sami leave Salem, in short she bid farewell to the Days of Our Lives show. The role of Sami was portrayed by 38-year-old Alison Sweeney. It may come as a surprise to some of the viewers but Sweeney has played the role of Sami for nearly 22 years now on the show. It was a heartfelt loss to the show as she took to Facebook social network on her page to thank all her fans for the love they have shown to her, "I look back though all of it and am proud of what I accomplished, proud memories, the hard work and the fun times. I'm proud of who I've become as a result of my 21 years in Salem. I'm still going to be around, so this is not goodbye. At least it isn't goodbye for me. This is just my opportunity to say a great big, sincere, tearful, THANK YOU. For everything. Every cheer, every tear, every tweet, post and letter. Thank you for investing in me and my character," she wrote, according to UPI Entertainment news reports.
Her final debut on the show aired on October 30th with her fans as well as her co-stars took up to social network i.e. twitter to bid a big farewell for she is a legend to the show for the two decades she dedicated to the show. Costar Kate Mansi in an exclusive interview told Hollywoodlife.com about Alison's legacy that she left behind. "Whenever someone asks me about Alison, I easily sum her up in one word: 'Superwoman'", Kate raves. "The woman literally does it all. The takeaway from my experience working with Alison that impacts me the most is not just she does it all, but that she manages to be equally committed, passionate and present to each endeavor. Watching the air show these last weeks, as Sami leaves, has been so special. Ali's work is honest, pure, raw and heartbreaking," she added.
