The director who is 41 years old was part of the previous star trek movies namely "Star Trek" and "Star Trek: Into the Darkness" as a co-writer alongside J.J. Abram and as a producer also. In the third installment of "Star Trek" Orci will take on the role of directorial duties. As Abrams will be working on "Star Wars: Episode 7." Orci is well known for his writing in the film "The Amazing Spider Man 2" in which Andrew Garfield stars. According to Christian Today, Orci revealed via Fashion and Style that, "In this movie they are closer than they are to the original series characters that you have ever seen. They have set off on their five-year mission"
Some of the cast members who are set to reprise their roles in the third installment of the movie have only words of admiration for their new director who will be coming to the Star Trek set. Karl Urban (Bones), Simon Pegg (Montgomery Scott) and John Cho (Hikaru Sulu) are very sure that Orci will do a very good job. They believe that Orci's fine work will be further transpired in the film now that he is the film's director. Urban put it that "Star Trek 3 is going to be phenomenal" and "It's going to rock."
Pegg was engaged in an interview by BBC about Orci and he said, "Bob's been there since the first Star Trek - by that I mean the 2009 one - so it seemed to make perfect sense that he come in as a director on this one because he gets it. He was always the most Trekkie of all those guys anyway, he's always understood the story the best so it's great that he's going to be involved in the writing and directing." Through Reddit, Cho said, "I'm absolutely confident in Bob. No one knows these characters better than Bob. And no one knows the Star Trek universe better than Bob. I think he's going to blow people away." "Star Trek 3" has been slated for a 2016 release date. Stay with us for more news on this and much more.
