"The Wedding Ringer": Time to Laugh it Out Loud with Kevin Hart in New Year January 2015
"The Wedding Ringer," starring Josh Gad and Kevin Hart with Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, will be hitting the theaters this upcoming January 2015.
The plot revolves around Doug Harris, played by Josh Gad, a socially challenged groom who has no best man for the wedding. Doug is set to marry Gretchen, played by Kayley Cuoco-Sweeting, the girl of his dreams. Doug is then pointed out to Jimmy Callahan, played by Kevin Hart, the CEO and owner of Best Man Inc, a firm that caters best men for those who need one for weddings.
The movie is very similar to "I love You Man," starring Paul Rudd and Jason Segel, where the groom to be also has no close male friends that he can ask to be the best man for his wedding. Like the movie, "The Wedding Ringer" will also introduce a bromance between the groom to be and the new best man.
"The Wedding Ringer" will be a directorial debut with Jeremy Grelick, who also wrote the screenplay of the movie alongside Jay Lavender. The duo, Jeremy Garelick and Jay Lavender, once worked together for writing the script for drama-comedy, "The Break Up," which starred Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston back in June of 2006.
Other cast members of "The Wedding Ringer" include Affion Crockett from "A Haunted House 2,"Cloris Leachman from "Raising Hope," Jenifer Lewis from "Think Like A Man," Ken Howard in "30 Rock," Mimi Rogers from "Hope Springs," and Olivia Thirlby from the movie, "Dredd."
Slashfilm states Kevin Hart is famous for the blockbuster "Ride Along" which opened January this year and made over $41 million during its opening weekend. A sequel for "Ride Along" is also rumored to be in the works for another January release in 2016.
Based on IMDB Josh Gad is known for his voice acting in Disney's "Frozen" as Olaf the snowman. He also stars in a couple of episodes in the "New Girl" television series. He also stars in "The Internship" as headphones, Jobs as the famous Steve Wozniak and another voice acting role as Louis in "Ice Age: Continental Drift."
"The Wedding Ringer" will hit the theaters this coming January 16, 2015.
