'Kingsman': The Secret Service, Coming this February 2015, Samuel L. Jackson and Other Casts Revealed
"Kingsman: The Secret Service", a film adaptation of Mark Millar's comic book series, will be coming to theaters on February 13, 2015, according to AV Club.
The upcoming movie stars Colin Firth, who is known for acting as a suppressed British gentleman. Firth will be playing as a top secret spy for the British government. Firth's character then recruits Eggsy, played by up and coming Taron Egerton, who picks pockets on innocent bystanders. Eggsy is recruited to be trained for Kingsman, the top secret spy organization that trains future secret spy-to-be agents. Playing the role of the evil villain genius is Samuel L. Jackson.
The movie is a loose adaptation of Dave Gibbons and Mark Millar's comic book series titled "The Secret Service."
Matthew Vaughn, the director of " X-Men:First class", will be helming the film and co-writing it as well with Jane Goldman. The X-Men movie by Matthew Vaughn grossed over $350 million globally. The "Kingsman: The Secret Service" movie is not entirely expected to perform the same, but taking a look at the "Stardust" and "Kick-Ass", movie fans may have something to be excited for with Vaughn's direction of the film.
The director also previously worked on another comic book by Mark Millar, "Kick-Ass", which was positively received by film geek and comic fans alike.
"Kingsman: The Secret Service" will be more like a teacher and protégé film, which was noted in Screen Rant, in which the setting takes the viewers back to a 1960's espionage theme world. The trailer shows a new side of Colin Firth as a badass action hero. Firth even enjoyed the combat exercises and training that he received for the upcoming movie. Several different martial artists also trained Colin Firth for the movie.
Other members of the "Kingsman" cast include Jack Davenport from Smash, Mark Strong of John Carter, Michael Caine of the popular magic tricks movie Now You See Me, and Sofia Boutella from Monsters: Dark Continent.
Also, as stated in Telegraph, cameo appearances are also to be expected in the "Kingsman: Secret Service" movie. Adele, the famous singer known for "Rolling in the Deep," Elton John, a Grammy award winning musical superstar, and David Beckham, the famous English footballer, are reportedly making a cameo in the movie.
