Apple Pay Release Date for iOS 7 and iPhone 5: Will It Happen Anytime Soon?
Apple Pay Release Date for iOS 7 and iPhone 5: Will It Happen Anytime Soon?
Believe it or not, iOS 8 is not one of the most preferred operating system on Apple portable devices, for now at least. The adaptation rates have been tremendously slow in comparison to iOS 6 and iOS 5 in the past, users have faced a lot of troubles with the update, and there have been certain security and privacy concerns too.
However, many technology experts believe that this new iOS 8 is a step towards the future and with coming upgrades it will be the next big thing. Of course Apple payment system will be a huge part of its success, which is reportedly coming on Monday. In fact, according to USA Today, many retailers, banks and credit card companies have supported the Apple Pay system. The support of financial institutions including Citi, MasterCard, Visa, and American Express is definitely a step ahead towards changing the world of sending and receiving payment.
Apple believes that their new system will terminate the need of carrying wallets. All you will need is the iPhone to walk to a merchant and pay with a swipe. However, this interesting piece of technology will be available just in iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 as these two devices feature NFC chip to facilitate the payment. Of course, these devices are also preloaded with the all new iOS 8.
So, when can the users of other Apple devices and operating system get their hands on this new piece of technology? Without iOS 8 there is absolutely no chance. Apple has made it very clear that iOS 7 is outdated for this technology. However, users of Apple iPhone 5 can use Apple Pay with the help of Watch. This phone range does not come with NFC chip and that is why the Watch will play an instrumental role here. This Apple Watch is expected to come into the market by early 2015.
All the upcoming smartphones from Apple's house are expected to feature the NFC chip in the future. This technology will apparently get cheaper in the coming days facilitating easy payment solutions all across the world.
