Mass Effect 4 news, updates: Fourth installment for PS4 and Xbox One rumored to be out by October 2015, BioWare reveals alien races back in the game
Mass Effect 4 updates: While there is no clear release date for the next installment of the highly popular Mass Effect gaming series, game developer Bioware gave a teaser on which alien races are returning for Mass Effect 4.
"I've never seen Salarians look so damn good," said Mass Effect producer Michael Gamble in his Twitter account.
The Salarians will be joined by Krogans and Humans in Mass Effect 4.
Netizens also speculate that the Turians and the Asaris will make an appearance as well.
Previous editions of Mass Effect had only playable human characters. Mass Effect 4 is exploring the possibility of having playable alien characters as well.
The Mass Effect Trilogy is a sci-fi, role playing third person shooter video game developed by BioWare for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Microsoft Windows. Mass Effect 3 was also released for Wii U. The game follows the adventures of Commander Shepard, whose main mission is to save the galaxy from the Reapers, powerful mechanical beings out to seek destruction and mayhem. The Reapers are led by the vicious Saren Arterius.
The Mass Effect games have been acclaimed for their engaging storyline, complex characterization, voice acting, and the depth of detail found in the game's fictional universe. Website GamesRadar considers Mass Effect as the best of its genre, representing "a high-water mark for video games as a story-telling medium."
