One Direction have released their newest music video for their song "Midnight Memories" which is the title track off of their album Midnight Memories (watch video above).
Midnight Memories released on November 25, 2013 and went straight to No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 (along with several other countries). They became the first group in history to debut at No. 1 with their first three albums.
Their song "Midnight Memories" is the third single to be released from the album after "Best Song Ever" (July 2013) and "Story of My Life" (October 2013).
One Direction was also just named "Global Recording Artist of the Year" of 2013 edging out Justin Timberlake and Eminem for the high honor. The Top 10 list for 2013 in order was: One Direction, Eminem, Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, Pink, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Rihanna, Michael Buble and Daft Punk. "Many congratulations to One Direction who topped a talented field to become the IFPI Global Recording Artists of 2013," comments Frances Moore, chief executive of IFPI. "This is a global IFPI award for a new era of music consumption, based on a new metric of global success. Our chart for the first time measures the popularity of artists across the many different ways in which fans choose their music."
One Direction is set to go on an extended worldwide tour starting in the Spring of 2014. They will start their North American run on August 1st in Canada. See their full tour dates HERE.
