Galaxy Note 4 vs Nexus 6: Does Google Even Scratch The Samsung Flagship's Surface?
For those who don't have either of the two yet, Galaxy Note 4 is Samsung's latest flagship for their phablet line of smartphone. It is another huge leap from the previous Galaxy Note 3, introducing a handful of new features and better overall performance with new hardware. Google's Motorola Nexus 6 (X) is also another smartphone that is rumored to come out later this month. Aside from Android L, it is also rumored that it will have a powerful set of features, but how will this fare against Galaxy Note 4?
Main Similarities and Differences Between The Note 4 and Nexus 6
According to data provided by GSM Arena, the Nexus 6 will be a step higher than another rumored Nexus device called Google Nexus 10 with its power-packed spec sheet that almost comes close to more prominent brands in the mobile industry like Samsung or Sony. It almost comes close to Samsung's Galaxy Note 4, when you compare and look at GSM Arena's review.
Both Nexus 6 and Galaxy Note 4 has a 1440p quad-HD resolution with Note 4 being slightly bigger in terms of overall size by .5 inches. If clarity and resolution is your thing, either of the two will amaze you with their Super AMOLED (Note 4) and True HD IPS (Nexus 6) screens. If aesthetics is concerned, it will boil down to your preference in style.
Performance-wise, both should be able to provide stellar processing speed with their processors and GPU plus memory. Both have a 3 GB of RAM, which is more than enough to handle multitasking and memory intensive apps like HD games. Both also have Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipsets with Quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450 processor. Both are also packed with Adreno 420 GPU so in terms of performance, both should be extremely close.
The difference between the two comes to the cameras and sensors. As expected, Samsung' Note 4 will be sporting all sorts of sensors, which also includes a couple of health-related ones. Nexus 6, on the other hand, has only the basic sensors, but this might be subject to change once the device is released.
The camera on Note 4 also has a higher pixel count with its 16-megapixel resolution, while the Nexus 6 provides 13-megapixel photos only. It is worthy to note that Note 4 has the ability to record 4k videos at 60 frames per second on 1080 ones. Nexus 6 will only shoot 1080p at 30 fps, but then again, this is subject to change until the release.
