Stalker TV series: Good Ratings but Mixed Reviews from Critics
After the end of the CW show 'Nikita', Maggie Q is back on CBS with an investigation drama 'Stalker' along with actor Dylan McDermott in whom we remember in the CBS drama 'Hostages' and on the first two seasons of 'American Horror Story: Murder House' and 'Asylum' respectively.
Stalker premiered on Oct. 1 on CBS that has a story revolving around - as the title is, stalking incidents from victims to stalkers. According to the website TV Series Finale, Stalker's pilot episode gained more than 9 million viewers which typically indicates that the show might continue to air on CBS.
Some viewers are in it for watching though, as some loved how the pilot episode was about and what the storyline revolves on, but of course, as the saying goes "you can't please everyone". Though gaining many views is expected on its first air, 'Stalker' didn't really do well on critics such as the sites Metacritic and Rotten Tomatoes. At Metacritic, the show received a score of 17 out of 100 based on the opinion of 21 critics.
In review sites and TV show blog sites, there are mixed reactions for the TV show's ratings. The pilot episode doesn't necessarily be the verdict of the entire season since there are different writers for each episodes of the show. The pilot episode was written by Kevin Williamson and the next episode that will air on Oct. 8 will be written by Sanford Golden and Karen Wyscarver while both the 1st and 2nd episodes are directed by Liz Friedlander. Then maybe, just maybe, there could be some improvements for the show.
Stalker episode 2 will air on October 8 at CBS with the episode title "Whatever Happened to Baby James?".
