HTC One M8 Eye Release Date, Rumors, Specs: some special camera features will be available on the yet unannounced phone
HTC, at its October 8 event, might introduce its upcoming HTC One (M8) Eye handset. It seems like HTC is slowly moving away from its UltraPixel camera technology as seen in One (M8) smartphone.
There have been a lot of reports, and most of the conflicting, regarding a special upcoming phone from HTC, dubbed "Eye", or "One M8″ eye. All reports seem to agree that - and because of the codename - some special camera features will be available on the yet unannounced phone, but there are basically two sets of reports: one that claims this will be a "selfie" centric phone (and we've seen a lot of those recently), and the other which insinuates that HTC will be further improving the camera setup on the back (the main camera).
if the latest rumours regarding HTC One (M8) Eye are to be believed the HTC, introduces its upcoming HTC One (M8) Eye handset with a 13-megapixel rear camera paired with the Duo camera technology. The rest of the specifications are rumoured to stay the same as the company's flagship HTC One (M8).
The shift from the UltraPixel technology is not something ground breaking as we have already seen the Taiwanese smartphone maker including the usual 13-megapixel camera in its One (M8)'s plastic-clad handset, the HTC One E8. According to the sources One (M8) Eye will run on Android 4.4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box paired with the latest Sense 6.0 UI. It's coming next month with Android 4.4.4 and Sense 6.0 on board. Other specifications rumored for the HTC One (M8) Eye are 5.2-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC and a 2,600mAh battery fitted inside. A recent report also suggested that the Taiwanese giant is set to unveil a GoPro-like rugged waterproof camera dubbed RECamera.
We can assume that HTC one M8 Eye will definitely give tough competition to Nokia's Selfie phone (Nokia Lumia 730).
