'Homeland' Season 4 Spoilers: How Would Carrie be in This New Season?
"Homeland" season 4 will make a special premiere on the Oct. 5, with two episodes running on the same night. Season four will be set six months after the season three finale. So, what do we know about the season so far? Season 4 will premiere with the fans knowing that yes, Body is already dead, Carrie will have a baby, and she accepted a job as a station chief in Kabul, Afghanistan. All these, mixed together can only mean one thing, disaster. This will be the theme of the whole season; Carrie will still be in the middle of a healing process where she will be having a hard time trying to balance her time as a CIA agent and as a mother, who is also grieving.
Season 4 will be dealing with consequences of decisions done early on. At the start of the season, Carrie will be seen spearheading a drone strike to take out a target. The problem is that, while it appears the target was successfully taken out, he was eliminated in the middle of a wedding where there are so many innocent lives were killed. This would ultimately eat up on her and will intensify all the troubles she is going through. Season 4 would prove to be more of a psychological struggle than a spy-action TV series.
With all these things happening in Carrie's life, is there still a chance that she can find comfort in another romantic relationship?
Although a lot of fans would want the answer to be "yes", especially if the guy in "that relationship" would be Quinn. Showrunner Alex Ganza acknowledges the chemistry that Carrie and Quinn have but states that any romantic notion with Quinn and Carrie's relationship would purely be speculative as of the moment. While Quinn is clearly into her, Carrie would not be that open given that she had just lost Brody and her life is such a mess; she cannot even spend time with her daughter.
Season 4 would be very interesting. It would be amazing to watch how Carrie would overcome all her struggles and emerged a more emotionally stable person.
