Two and a Half Men Release Date and Other Latest News; Two and a Half Men Season 12 Episode 1 Revealed: Alan and Walden to Marry and Adopt a Child
It seems like fans were not the only one that got surprised upon learning that the characters Alan and Walden are getting married in Two and a Half Men season 12 when it returns to CBS next month for its final season. Apparently, Two and a Half Men star Jon Cryer himself was particularly shocked when he was told that his character is marrying off Kutcher's character.
"The first time I heard it I said, WHAT?!" Cryer was heard saying in an E! News interview. "And then I thought, 'Oh yeah it kind of makes sense, because last season Alan's wedding fell apart and Ashton's wedding has fallen apart. The writers have a good idea and it opens up a lot of doors. Two heterosexual guys who are getting married because they want to have a kid together. OK. Why not? You know, I'm sure it's gonna happen. I can't imagine that kind of thing won't be happening in real life at some point."
From what CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler has revealed to us thus far, it appears that Two and a Half Men Season 12 episode 1 will finally begin to build up the story of how the two will end up adopting a child. All this happens right after Walden suffers from a health scare that makes him reflect on his life.
However, in order for them to be able to adopt a child much easier, the heterosexual roommates must first get married. When asked about why he wrote the story that way, head writer and executive producer Jim Patterson responded: "This is our last year. So we wanted to center the last year on Alan and Walden and have those guys do an adventure together the whole season because they're so great together."
The Two and a Half Men Season 12 premiere will be on October 30.
