Sinister 2 Movie Release Date, Reveals, Spoilers, Plot, Reviews and Rumors: Plot Change for the Second Installment to Include Mother and Sons
In 2012 the horror movie Sinister was released making an impressive 87 Million dollars at the box office. The sequel was announced in March of 2013 and Scott Dickerson who directed the first one was in talks to write the screenplay and not direct. The sequel was handed to Ciaran Foy to direct. Sinister 2 is set to come out on August 21st 2015.
The plot for the first one was quite terrifying as well as impressively executed. The story follows a man, his wife and two children who move into a house. Being that he is a true crime author the man of the house is aware that the house was the site of murders but does not tell his family instead he intends to use the energy in the house to write a new book. He discovers a box in the attic labeled Home Movies. He decides to watch what he finds inside which turn out to be snuff films of various families being murdered while a demonic figure watches on. After he investigates he finds out the demon is an ancient Babylonian figure Bughuul. He finds out that Bughuul posses one of the children of the house and causes them to kill their family. He tries to escape this fate by moving but the demon has already possessed his youngest who drugs and kills her family on film. In sinister 2 we keep with the story only this time a mother moves into the house with her two sons.
The movie will feature James Ransone who has featured in a number of movies including inside man and Ken Park. He will forever be remembered for his scene depicting autoerotic asphyxiation in that movie. Another name confirmed for the cast is Shannyn Sossamon. The film was shot in Chicago over the course of six weeks in August of 2014.
