Half Life 3 Rumors: Will Half Life 3 Ever Come?
Probably the most talked about first-person shooter game in the last three years is Half Life 3. The gaming world is abuzz with talks about the development of the game believed to be the sequel to the Half Life 2.
Excitement is high among the millions of Half Life fans. Sites and sources from all over the world are leaking out stories about the game. For one, a French gaming site claims that Half Life 3 will have an element of RPG adapted into it, while some say it might be upgraded into a multiplayer game.
The thing about all these talks is that there seems to be a certain meat in them. That is because Gabe Newell of Valve has touched on the subject multiple times during interviews. In 2012, he hinted about Valve developing a new game. Although this was not confirmed to be Half Life 3, the media and fans alike assumed it to be.
On top of that, Minh Le, known as one of the creators of the famous Counter Strike game, was also quoted to have confirmed work on Half Life 3. According to him, he had seen some concept and art about the game during his time in Valve. While these are unconfirmed information, they still propelled the growing story of the coming of Half Life 3.
However, the story is beginning to be seen more and more as a mere rumor. This year, we saw game releases from various companies such as Bethesda's The Elder Scrolls Online and Monolith's Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor. With still no official word from Valve, fans are beginning to accept that Half Life 3 may never be.
It would be awesome to get to play Half Life 3 should it be released. Fans are still waiting, and hoping. After all, having no official statement from Valve does not mean there is no Half Life 3 coming soon.
