Originally starring one of the main characters of the show by actor Charlie Sheen as Charlie Harper but later replaced by the actor and comedian Ashton Kutcher as Walden Schmidt in Season 9, following the dismissal of the former, due to his drug rehabilitation and later deciding to quit the show while criticizing its creator Chuck Lorre in an interview.
