Madam Secretary CBS New Show Release Date and Other Latest News: Official Trailer Finally Released, Plot Revealed, More Spoilers and Cast
The upcoming Madam Secretary TV series will center around the story of State Secretary Elizabeth McCord (who is played by Tea Leoni) as she pursues international diplomacy, maneuvers politics within the office and goes around protocol while at the same time negotiates and deals with domestic and global issues-all at the White House and straight from home.
As shown by the released official Madam Secretary trailer , the Madam Secretary pilot will show Elizabeth, a college professor and a talented former CIA analyst who decided to leave her former work due to ethical reasons, as she once again returns to the public life as requested upon by the President himself, following the suspicious death of her predecessor. Deciding to embark on this new mission, Elizabeth is immediately bombarded with a whirlwind of political adversities which includes making her way through State Department obstacles and an internationally-known hostage taking.
The Madam Secretary CBS cast will also include other stars such as Tim Daly as Henry McCord, Bebe Neuwirth as Chief of Staff Nadine Tolliver, Zeljko Ivanek as the President's Chief of Staff Russell Jackson, Geoffrey Arend as Speck writer Matt Mahoney, Patina Miller as press coordinator Daisy Grant and Erich Bergen as McCord's charming assistant Blake Moran.
CBS will release the Madam Secretary premiere on September 21, Sunday.
