Resident Evil Revelations 2 Release Date, News, Rumors, and Updates: First official Trailer Released by Capcom
Capcom has released the first trailer from their upcoming game resident Evil: Revelations 2.
"Continuing the series legacy of delivering the essential survival horror experience, Resident Evil Revelations 2 promises all new horrors, terrifying locations and dramatic twists and turns," the description for the trailer read. Check it out below.
It has also been revealed that the game will be available digitally and that the story progression will be released episodically, much like how Telltale's The Walking Dead videogame worked; without all the episodes the whole story of the game won't be complete. Resident Evil: Revelation 2 will be comprised of 5 episodes, 4 of which will have to be downloaded once it is released each week. Each episodes is priced at $6, while users can also buy the complete season for $25. After the four episodes have been released, Capcom announced that they will release a disc-based version that will include all 4 episodes and the additional content. This format of downloadable "episodes" seeks to give itself a television series kind of feel. Here's a synopsis for the first episode that was released by Capcom:
"The party is crashed, Claire and Moira are knocked unconscious and taken to a mysterious detention center located on an island. They soon encounter demented, writhing enemies called Afflicted roaming the halls of this abandoned facility, and have to team up to survive. The real question is, who brought them here? And... why?"
The new game takes us to a new chapter in the franchise, and players will be reunited once more with Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil Veronica protagonist Clair Redfield. She will be joined by Moira Burton, daughter of Barry Burton.
The game is coming to Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC and will be available some time in early 2015.
