Majority of the original cast is set to return including Mark Wahlberg along with the supporting cast. Amanda Seyfried has been reported to be the sequel's new leading lady for the R-Rated comedy. Seyfried was also the lead for A Million Ways to Die in the West, which was also directed and starring Mcfarlane. Plot details for ted 2 is still under wraps, but it's expected that the film will have numerous pop culture references and A-list celebrity cameos.
Members of the Ted 2 cast has been spotted all around Boston, has fans taking pictures on set.

Many have suggested that the success was because of Seth MacFarlane's fan base from his animated shows, as well as his very specific humor.
