Emmy Rossum Stars in 'You're Not You' Movie Along with Hilary Swank Releasing October 2014, Watch New Trailer Here (VIDEO)
Emmy Rossum is starring alongside Hilary Swank in the upcoming movie You're Not You. They have released a new trailer, which you can check out above.
The movie tells the story of Kate (Swank), an accomplished woman in her 30s whose perfectly-ordered life is suddenly upended when she is diagnosed with the devastating and incurable disease ALS. Kate and her husband Evan (Josh Duhamel) must find a full time caregiver to help, and so they meet college student Bec (Rossum), who has impulsively answered their ad despite her complete lack of experience. Bec is chaos in motion--unable to commit to school, her relationships or her plans for the future. But Kate sees something special in Bec and hires her. Gradually, Kate inspires Bec not to throw her life away, while Bec helps Kate--literally and figuratively--to find her voice and finally live her life to the fullest - the way Kate truly wants. With equal measures of tears and laughter, "You're Not You" explores how these strangers - brought together by the most challenging circumstances - are able to unlock the best in each other.
You're Not You is set to release to theaters on October 10th.
You're Not You is directed by George C. Wolfe and written by Jordan Roberts and Shana Feste, based on a novel of the same name by Michelle Wildgen. Along with Rossum and Swank, the film stars Josh Duhamel, Ali Larter, Ernie Hudson and Marcia Gay Harden.
Rossum recently opened up about her first marriage and deciding to marry young. She married music executive Justin Siegel in 2008 when she was 21 and they divorced 19 months later citing irreconcilable differences.
"Honestly, I was so young, I don't think I knew what marriage meant. My parents were never married, and I was teased in school and called a bastard,' she revealed. 'So the idea of marriage as safety forever was idealized in my head, and we rushed into it," she shared with Cosmopolitan Magazine.
