State of Affairs New Show, Reveals, Spoilers and Plot: Alfre Woodard, Katherine Heigl, Sheila Vand and Cliff Chaimberlain to Join Cast
Joining Scandal and West Wing on the list of dramas revolving around the white house is NBC's new show State of Affairs. The show which is classified in the genre of Political thriller will feature a president that is not only black but female! So she is no doubt a democrat! NBC was acquired the rights to the series way back in September of 2013 but ordered a pilot in May of 2014. The show is set to come to NBC on 17th November, 2014 for a late fall showing.
So, you know how in Scandal Olivia solves problems and has an affair with the president? This is nothing like that. Because this is a female president we really doubt there will be scandal and intimate dancing scenes in the oval office. The plot of the series is about the presidents daily briefings as delivered and compiled by CIA analyst Charleston Tucker. Agent Charleston is engaged to the president's son in an interesting twist. The series will no doubt feature how this amazing duo averts terrorist attacks and what not while being amazing at it and having beautiful hair. The premise is interesting although this female overkill feels a little bit like pandering but NBC no doubt has a demographic in mind so all the more to them.
Emmy award winner Alfre Woodard known for her work in Freedom road and The Practice shall be playing the President of the United States opposite the haired wonder Katherine Heigl. Katherine Heigl knew for her work on Greys Anatomy as Dr. Izzie Stevens the former stripper who becomes a doctor against all odds, marries a super rich guy who dies and leaves her a whole lot of money, shall be playing CIA analyst Charleston Tucker. Other people on the cast are: Adam Kaufman, Sheila Vand, Cliff Chamberlain, Tommy Savas, David Harbour and Mark Tallman. The show was created by Joe Carnahan who is the brother to Michael Carnahan, director of the series The Blacklist and on its list of Producers are Katherine Heigl, Nancy Heigl, Sophie Watts and Julia Franz. It is shot in Los Angeles.
