Insidious Chapter 3 Release Date, News, Spoilers and Updates: NEW Pictures from the Set of the Film Revealed
Insidious Chapter 3 will be a prequel to the last 2 films. It will involve a teenage girl and her family taking place before the haunting in the Lambert family, and will unlock more mysteries behind the otherworld of The Further. Horror fans will once again witness a new kind of horror as a new evil entity will haunt your dreams.
The Insidious franchise began with the first film back in 2011, and has captivated horror fans grossing over $97 million in the box office. It has since then spawned a sequel in 2013, again succeeding in the box office.
Insidious Chapter 3 will be the directing debut of Leigh Whannell, who is also wrote Saw and the last 2 Insidious films. Former director James Wan is currently busy with production of fast and Furious 7, but will still be producing the upcoming film.
Production of the film began in July, and a first look image was released online on July 22. Yesterday a new behind the scenes picture was released on their official Facebook page. The newly released picture feature franchise favorite Lin Shaye talking with newcomer to the film, actor Dermot Mulroney.
Insidious Chapter 3 will feature the return of actors Lin Shaye, Weigh Whanell, and Angus Sampson reprising their roles as paranormal investigators Elise Rainier, Specks, and Tucker, respectively. Newcomers to the franchise include Dermot Mulroney, Stefanie Scott, Steve Coulter, Hayley Kiyoko, and Ashton Moio.
Insidious Chapter 3 is slated to be released on May 19, 2015 distributed by Stage 6 films.
