Resident Evil Revelations 2 Release Date, News, Rumors, and Updates: Box Art for The New Game Leaks Online
In February 2012 Resident Evil: Revelation was released for the Nintendo 3DS with very positive reception from both fans and critics. In the United States, it was one of the 25 best-selling games of February 2012 and moved 122,000 units in March 2012.
Resident Evil: Revelations was also given a high definition port for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and the Wii U on May 2013, which were found to be inferior to the original Nintendo 3DS versions.
Yesterday, French website GamerInABox posted a leaked box art and screenshot from the new game, Resident Evil: Revelations 2 that was found on Xbox's listings for upcoming games. It's no surprise that the people from Capcom would be cashing in on a sequel after the success of the first game.
It has not yet been confirmed or denied by the people behind Xbox or Capcom if the leaked photos are proof of the sequel. A Capcom spokesperson however told IGN that the company "has made no announcements."
The box art features that it will be on the Xbox 360, but no other details if the game will be available for other platforms have been revealed.
But if it is real, fans of the video game franchise have a lot to look forward to as there is also rumors floating about the internet that Resident Evil 7 is also currently under development, and also a high definition port of the Gamecube exclusive Resident Evil remake back in 2002 will be available for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC platforms by early 2015.
