Evolve Release Date, Spoilers and Review: Turtle Rock Reveals Game Play Aspects and Specifics on Characters and Classes
Turtle Rock originally schooled the game to arrive by Christmas this year; however, the release date for Evolve has been delayed so as to avoid the holiday rush. The other reason for the delay is also to allow for the developer to include the final bits of polish required in order to make the game palatable when it reaches the market. At the moment, the release date for the game has been slated for launch in February 2015, but no specific date. The game will be available for X Bo One, at first but will later provide for PS4 as well as PC modes. According to the spoilers that have been provided for the upcoming game, Evolve will be a first person shooter unlike any other that has been played. It will feature a very unusual four versus one kind of play where four players will try and eliminate a monster, also controlled by a player.
Game play: The four users will have the following roles to choose from according to reports on the game play; support, medic, trapper, and assault. Each of the classes will also come available with sub classes of which the player has to choose a role and abilities from. Each of the classes will affect the weapons and abilities of the individual player. At the same time, it will help balance out things for the team which has to take on the monster. As for the monster role, there will be two options to choose from. The Goliath is a primal brute which runs on its hind legs and attacks with its claws. It will also feature the ability to breathe fire. The Kraken is a flying beast which provides the advantage of being quite hard to track. The monster will kill via claws and have a fire breathing ability by default.
The plot of the story has been set in the distant future when humanity has taken to the stars. After colonizing planets everywhere, next up is Shear, but the indigenous aliens are not having it and set monsters on them. With a hostile environment to tackle, teams of expendable highly trained hunters and mercenaries are deployed to sterilize. The Fans are definitely going to eat this up, but for now we all have to wait until next year.
