Google Nexus 8 Release Date Plus Latest News, Specs and Updates
Google Nexus 8 release date was anticipated to happen last July according to Android Geeks' insider source. However, Tech Advisor believes the Google Nexus 8 "will be announced when Google launches Android L - which is said to arrive by autumn. Google tends to launch a new Nexus product when a new Android version is released. October and November seems most likely to us...."
Whatever the exact month, the Google Nexus 8 2014 release has long been eagerly anticipated by tech and gadget junkies. After all, the next generation Android-powered tablet purportedly has very high-end features. Rumored to be HTP-made, NDTVGadgets said the Google Nexus 8 specs could include "a 64-bit Tegra processor; a MDM9x25 modem (3G model); 4GB of RAM; an 8-megapixel rear camera with flash; a 1.6-megapixel front camera, as well as GPS and NFC connectivity....[and it] would run the 64-bit Nvidia Tegra K1 chipset, along with an incredible 5GB of RAM." Phone Arena expects that "There should be a metal chassis wrapping an 8.9" 2560x1600 pixels display."
Regarding the most likely Google Nexus 8 price once it hits the market, CNet in a report quoting IHS Technology director Rhoda Alexander, wrote: "Volume production is expected to start in July or August. The expectation is [that] this will be a lower volume product, carrying a premium price tag to support the specifications..[she] would not be surprised if it is higher than $299."
