Lionsgate and Kingdom Story Company have announced that I Can Only Imagine 2, the sequel to the 2018 faith-based hit I Can Only Imagine, will premiere in theaters nationwide on February 20, 2026. The film continues the inspiring true story of MercyMe frontman Bart Millard, focusing on the band's powerful song "Even If" and the personal trials that inspired it.
Directed by Andrew Erwin and Brent McCorkle, with a screenplay by McCorkle, the sequel stars John Michael Finley reprising his role as Bart Millard. Returning cast members include Dennis Quaid as Arthur Millard and Trace Adkins as MercyMe's manager, Scott Brickell. New additions to the cast feature Milo Ventimiglia as singer-songwriter Tim Timmons, along with Sophie Skelton, Arielle Kebbel, Joshua Bassett, and Sammy Dell.
