Christian Mom Breanna Nix Heads to "American Idol" Final

Christian mom Breanna Nix has secured her place in the Top 3 of American Idol Season 23 following a series of standout performances during the show's Disney Week. As the last remaining female contestant, Nix captivated both judges and audiences with her powerful vocals and heartfelt renditions.
During the Disney-themed episodes, Nix delivered moving performances of "Reflection" from Mulan and "Like My Mother Does," earning praise from judge Carrie Underwood, who described her performance as "so beautiful." She also performed "This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)" and "You'll Be in My Heart," the latter bringing her husband to tears. These performances secured her advancement to the finale alongside fellow contestants Jamal Roberts and John Foster.
In celebration of her achievement, Nix returned to her hometown of Denton for a parade and live concert, events that were filmed for the show's grand finale airing on May 18.
Nix's journey on American Idol has been deeply rooted in her faith, which she's spoken about both on and off stage. Her performances often reflect her Christian values and personal testimony, from her audition with Carrie Underwood's "Jesus, Take the Wheel" to her emotional renditions during Disney Week.
Nix has credited her relationship with God as central to her transformation-physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Her journey, including her weight loss of over 160 pounds, has been motivated by her desire to be a strong example of faith and perseverance for her son.
As the finale approaches, fans eagerly anticipate whether Nix's inspiring journey and vocal prowess will lead her to become the next American Idol
