Natasha Owens Reflects on How a Tragic Time Inspired Her Music Career and Her Debut Album

It has been over a decade since Natasha Owens released her debut album I Made It Through in 2013. The album comprises ten tracks that explore themes of healing and restoration. You can listen to the album on various platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music.
Owens took the time to reflect how a tragic season led to her singing career. "When my dad passed away in a tragic accident, my world fell apart. I spiraled into depression, questioning everything-including my faith. Grief took hold, and I was on a road I never thought I'd escape from. But in my darkest moment, God met me there.
"Six months into my depression, I was asked to step in as a Music Minister. At a time when I could barely lift my head, God asked me to lead others in worship. Little did I know, He was leading me back to life.
"I Made It Through wasn't just an album-it was my testimony. A journey of healing, restoration, and learning that even after the storm, God is still faithful."
Despite the passing of time. Owens believes the album is still relevant today. "Now, years later, I see how every trial has led me to where I am today. This album was only the beginning. God didn't just want me to 'make it through'-He wanted me to rise above.
"If you've ever walked through something that shook your faith, you're not alone. Keep going. Keep trusting. God's not finished with your story."
