"Between Borders," A Film About Persecuted Armenian Christians Seeking Refuge, is Now Streaming

Angel Studios, the innovative platform that empowers creators to crowdfund, create, and distribute films and TV series globally with full creative control, is announcing the exclusive streaming release of the award-winning film BETWEEN BORDERS. Following a successful three-day theatrical run and earning a 98% Popcornmeter rating on Rotten Tomatoes, the film is now available for streaming exclusively on Angel.com and the Angel app.
"BETWEEN BORDERS is based on the true story of the Petrosyan family, but their experience is shared by scores of Armenians around the world, specifically Armenian Christians," shares Jared Geesey, Chief Distribution Officer of Angel Studios. "Filled with powerful performances, the Angel Guild is enthusiastically supporting the film, both in theaters and now through our streaming platform."

Armen Karaoghlanian, Founder & CEO, Armenian Film Society, continues, "If there ever was a film for Armenians everywhere to rally behind, this is that film. Between Borders is a reminder that the moviegoing experience is still magical. This is a film that explores the strength of family, the power of faith, and the journey of overcoming life's challenges with your loved ones by your side. You will want to cherish this experience with your family."
In a crumbling Soviet Union, the Petrosyan family finds themselves as outcasts - wherever they go. Their Armenian heritage marks them for discrimination, first in their home country of Azerbaijan and then in Russia. After finding their eternal hope through a church planted by American missionaries, the hostilities of everyday life push them to seek refuge in the United States. In the shadow of exile, hope became their home. Based on a riveting true story of faith set amidst great oppression.
BETWEEN BORDERS stars Elizabeth Tabish (The Chosen, The Shift), Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost, Outer Banks), Patrick Sabongui (The Hunting Party), Ana Ularu (Emerald City) and Michael Paul Chan (The Goonies). Directed by Mark Freiburger (Dog Days of Summer), the film was written by Freiburger, Isaac Norris and Adam Sjoberg, and produced by Norris, Jude S. Walko (The Incantation), Freiburger, and Ken Carpenter (Surprised by Oxford).
