Starflyer 59 Announces New Record and Shares Track

Earlier this year Starflyer 59 released their seventeenth full length record Lust For Gold with much fanfare. The record was a noisey affair with big guitars and some hard hitting riffs. It was just named 'Shoegaze Record Of The Year' by Pop Matters here. NPR called it 'A warm blanket of distortion to drown out the world'. and Stereogum said 'It's great to have a band like Starflyer around to show the kids how it's really done'.
Now Starflyer flips the switch, and tones things way, way down on their upcoming release Dejame Dormir (out on 1/10 via Velvet Blue Music). Here the band reimagines 9 of their own tracks as soft and gentle, sleepy and dreamy, instrumental lullabies. Check out their new take on the track 'One Shot Juanita' from their 1995 album Gold below.
The record was produced by long time SF59 contributor Frank Lenz and features artwork by Jason Pickersgill. It is available for pre-order now in several vinyl colors, cds, and cassette here.
