Danny Gokey's Fifth Studio Album, "Sound of Heaven," Releases Today

Danny Gokey's fifth studio album, Sound Of Heaven (Capitol Christian Music Group) is available today. The project follows the three-time Grammy nominee, three-time K-LOVE Fan Award Male Vocalist of the Year winner and eight-time Dove Award winner's last album Jesus People, which peaked at #1 on Billboard's Top Christian Albums chart and has since accumulated 300M global streams, contributing to his 1 billion global career streams.
Featuring eleven brand new songs, Sound Of Heaven captures a wide variety of sounds and messages that convey Gokey's heart for encouraging and uplifting people through music. Momentum for the new music is going strong with "wannabe" garnering 1.2M YTD streams to-date, while his most recent radio track, "I Got You" is currently at Top 20 across all Christian radio, and he is also unveiling a brand new music video for the title track today. The song has earned over 6.5M global streams, recently going viral on TikTok, collecting 3M views in just one post. The latin-influenced "Todo El Mundo" is also seeing great traction at Monitor Latinoradio, as it sits at No. 4.
With contributions from numerous producers including Ben Glover, Jordan Sapp, Jeff Sojka and Colby Wedgeworth, the project is as diverse sonically as it is thematically. Along with the aforementioned songs, fans will be moved by the energetic title track, "Sound Of Heaven," dance to the Spanish/English track "Lean On Me," featuring Evan Craft, along with other notable features from Niko Eme, Limoblaze, and Naomi Raine. "Still On The Throne" and "Open Up The Gates" round out the album with a worship focus.
"Heaven is more than just one sound. I believe that the diversity of songs on 'Sound Of Heaven' is a reflection of the wide variety of sounds and music we'll get to hear in heaven!" shares Gokey. "From worship to pop and Latin to Afrobeats, there really is something here for everyone," he continues, "and my ultimate desire is for people to know that no matter who they are or what they've done, there's room for them inside His love, and heaven is a celebration that EVERYONE is invited to!"
"The phrase 'sound of heaven,' and the songs on this album, will mean different things to different people in different places of life, but each one communicates the hopeful messages of heaven, no matter what season they're in. With all the noise in our culture threatening to distract and overwhelm us, may this album be a reminder to focus on the 'sound of heaven' that gives us the joy, strength and encouragement needed to live life abundantly with God!"
In support of "Sound Of Heaven" Gokey will hit the road September 5th with Tauren Wells for The Takeback Tour, hitting multiple cities throughout the fall. Tickets and all tour details are available at Gokey.com
