American Idol Finalist Scott MacIntyre Releases a Medley of "Amazing Grace" and "You Raise Me Up"

Renowned for his heartfelt performances and uplifting messages, American Idol finalist Scott MacIntyre has released a captivating new medley of "Amazing Grace" and "You Raise Me Up," available now on Spotify and other streaming platforms. A truly unique collaboration, the track features the soulful saxophone of Matt Weihmuller and the seasoned vocals of Rob Frazier.
The inclusion of Matt Weihmuller, a blind saxophonist who recently overcame a life-threatening health crisis, adds a profound depth to the track. Matt's journey back to music is nothing short of miraculous. After becoming unresponsive, flatlining four times, and spending eight days on a ventilator and dialysis, he defied the odds and made a remarkable recovery. Reflecting on his experience, Matt shared in an interview with FOX, "Playing saxophone again in the hospital after waking up was the happiest moment of my life. Music has helped to heal me."
Scott and Matt's partnership began during a tour in support of Arts4All Florida, where they performed this arrangement live. Inspired by the positive response to the medley, Scott invited Matt and Rob Frazier to join him on the studio recording. Speaking about the production of the song, Scott remarks, "It was probably the most unique project I've worked on, melding the sounds of vocals and saxophone together to breathe new life into these melodies everyone knows and loves."
