Caroline Cobb to Release Her First Instrumental Album Inspired by the Psalms

Acclaimed singer, songwriter Caroline Cobb is releasing her first-ever instrumental album The Poetry of Prayer: Instrumentals this Friday, January 12 and it's now available for pre-save.
This new album features instrumental takes of the songs found on Cobb's 2023 album Psalms: The Poetry of Prayer. Both records give voice to a rich range of prayers from the Psalms, helping you express trust, hope, joy, confession, lament and more through 11 newly composed songs.
The 2023 album features Jess Ray (Mission House), Aaron Fabbrini (Sara Groves, Jason Gray), and Wendell Kimbrough (Porter's Gate) and patterned loosely after the A.C.T.S. model of prayer or a church service, many of these songs began during Cobb's private devotional time, as she prayed the Psalms back to God in the upheaval of 2020.
In 2011, singer-songwriter Caroline Cobb gave herself a goal to write a song for every book of the Bible in a year. That year of writing set in motion a passion to tell the stories of scripture through music, with imagination, artistry and faithfulness to the text. Her album, A King & His Kindness, zooms in on the person of Jesus and builds on her previous Story-telling projects A Seed, A Sunrise (2020), the Blood + the Breath (2013) and a Home & a Hunger (2017), the latter being named among "The Best Albums of the 2010s" by The Gospel Coalition.
Featured by Christianity Today, The Rabbit Room, The Gospel Coalition, Doxology & Theology, Risen Motherhood and more, Cobb has been compared to Rich Mullins, Andrew Peterson, Sandra McCracken and Ellie Holcomb. She and her husband live in Dallas, TX with their three children Ellie, Harrison and Libby.
