The Talleys’ Prepare for Christmas with “Glory To God In The Highest” (Live)

For the latest release in their Messages to Treasure: A Live Anthology series of streaming-only singles, The Talleys anticipate the arrival of Christmas with a shimmering concert recording of a favorite they first brought to life more than 20 years ago.
Featuring the trio of Lauren, Debra and Roger Talley from start to finish, "Glory To God In The Highest"'s restrained, stately backing lets the essence of the Christmas message shine in The Talleys' warm, yet impeccable three-part harmonies:
Though I was not with the shepherds,
And had less to bring than wise men,
I too have been changed since I've met Him,
I am not what I have been.
Glory to God, Glory to God in the highest,
Peace and good will, Peace and good will be to men.
Emanuel, Emanuel has forgiven my sins,
Glory to God, I am not what I have been.
Says Roger Talley, "'Glory To God In The Highest' was written by Ray Scarbrough during a trip to Israel. He had his Israeli guide help him translate the chorus into Hebrew and we incorporated it into our version of the beautifully haunting song. Our audiences were always intrigued with the Hebrew chorus and it became a staple of our Christmas concerts."
