Tim Keller's Health Update: "I Can't Wait to See Jesus. Send Me Home."

Michael Keller, son of author, pastor, theologian, and co-founder of The Gospel Coalition Tim Keller, continues to ask for prayer for his dad who is struggling with pancreatic cancer. Earlier in the week, Tim Keller was admitted into hospital. Currently he has been discharged from the hospital and he is receiving hospice care at home.
Tim has been spending his time praying with his family. However, his desire is to go home to be with Jesus. In his prayer, he prays, "I'm thankful for all the people who've prayed for me over the years. I'm thankful for my family, that loves me. I'm thankful for the time God has given me, but i'm ready to see Jesus. I can't wait to see Jesus. Send me home."
In June 2020, Tim Keller revealed that he had been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Keller underwent chemotherapy that year and in May 2021 had surgery to remove some nodules. He continued chemotherapy, which was successful in reducing, but not eliminating, his cancer. In June 2022, Keller began an immunotherapy trial at the National Cancer Center in Bethesda, Maryland.
This year in January, Keller shared that he was participating in a drug trial, and in March, he revealed that during the month of April, he would return to "a variation" of the immunotherapy he underwent last summer.
Keller is the founding pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Manhattan and Chairman & Co-Founder of church-planting organisation Redeemer City to City (CTC). He is also the author of the New York Times bestselling The Reason for God and The Prodigal God. His books have sold over 2 million copies and have been translated into 25 languages. Ironically, Keller's book On Death was published only a month before his diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.
Married to Kathy since 1975, the Kellers enjoy a strong ministry partnership. Like her husband, Kathy writes, teaches and speaks at various events. Their book, "The Meaning of Marriage: Facing the Complexities of Commitment with the Wisdom of God," was a bestseller.
