TAYA Describes How the Holy Spirit Flooded Hillsong Conference This Year

An estimated 10,000 Christians from 47 countries gathered in Sydney, Australia for Hillsong Church's annual Conference this week. The heart of this conference is centred around the church's mission to champion local churches, be a wellspring for others and to serve the greater body of Christ. This aligns to Hillsong Church's recently announced vision statement which is To build a healthy church changing lives through Christ .'
This year's conference was hosted by Phil and Lucinda Dooley, Hillsong Church's Interim Global Senior Pastors. Guest speakers included Pastor Cash Luna, Senior Pastor of Casa de Dios church in Guatemala, along with Hillsong Pastor, Chris Mendez, supporting Cash's message through interpretation. Along with Pastor Cash, Pastor Mark Varughese, Senior Leader of Kingdomcity, spoke. There was even an exclusive interview with Pastor Craig Groeschel, Senior Pastor of Life.Church.
Worship was lead by the Hillsong Worship team, which included Brooke Ligertwood and TAYA. This is what TAYA has to say about the worship at the conference, "I grew up in a tiny Pentecostal church where evident outpourings of the Holy Spirit on His people was an every week type thing. Catching people, placing modesty cloths, uncontrollable bursts of laughter and regular interpretations of tongues for the edification of the church.
"In this season I've been asking the Lord if I could see with my own eyes again evidence of His Spirit being poured out and into people like I did when I was a little girl. Then last tonight happened. It was beautiful and unforced. I am so grateful for it Holy Spirit. [I know many, many people have been praying for the same thing for many, many years - it's a beautiful thing to see the fruit of those prayers before our own eyes for we don't always see it on this side of eternity. Thank You Jesus. All glory, honour and praise to You."
TAYA has just released her new self-titled album. Recorded cross-continentally, the14-track album is composed of entirely brand-new songs co-written by TAYA alongside Producer Jon Guerra. Two years in the making, the project is a direct reflection of the artist's own words and melodies of who Jesus is to her. "It's an old school record full of stories about the faithfulness of God, His kingdom, His kindness and His mercy," says TAYA.
