Matt Maher Celebrates the Value of Friendship with Drew Holcomb

Multi-award-winning artist and songwriter Matt Maher has teamed up with Drew Holcomb to co-write and perform the new single "My Old Friend." The song, which celebrates the value of true friendship, was inspired by Maher's 30th high school reunion.
Maher reveals, "Seriously tho this song is very special to me. My hope is it sounds like the friendships, new and old, that went into making it. Incidentally, I realized after recording it that it's my 30 year high school reunion this year. So shout out to all you Gonzaga Viking alumni out there and thanks to @wearema2la as always for tying in the visuals in such a great way.
There's differences of opinion, differences of taste
When we talk about the world, we're seeing different things
You tell me it's all ending, I think we've just begun
We have a history, you and me
Maybe that's good enough
Time stands still
Whenever I see you once again
I always will
Hold onto the memories, my old friend
"My Old Friend" and his previously released "Leaning" are the first of many new songs to be released from Maher this year. With plans to tour Europe with Rend Collective followed by appearing at numerous summer and fall festivals, more tour dates continue to be added, so be sure to visit his tour page for the latest information.
