Shekinah Glory Ministry Discusses the Group's History & Their New Single

Gospel music group Shekinah Glory Ministry recently paid a visit to Jacquie Gales Webb at Howard's WHUR 96.3 FM. They took the time to discuss the ensemble's history as well as to talk about their new radio single, "Reign Jesus [House Remix]."
Sherree Lee, one of the original members of Shekinah Glory, and Cedric Ford, former music director for Shekinah's home church, Valley Kingdom Ministries, were both on hand to discuss the roots of the Chicago ensemble's poignant history that ushered in the urban praise and worship movement.
They also discussed the various projects in the works to commemorate and celebrate their 20th anniversary. Among them is a club remix of the song "Reign Jesus" - from their "Praise Is What I Do" album in 2001 - that was recently remixed by GRAMMY® Award winning DJ Maurice Joshua.
Joshua, who has remixed tracks ranging from Diana Ross to Beyoncé, was on hand to talk about his approach to remixing the twenty-year old track and making it fresh and new. Aside from the new instrumentation, it also included new lead vocals by the song's composer Cedric Ford and Sherree Lee.
