Hulvey Feeds Those Who Are Starving for Love with New Song

Hulvey is committed to let his songs speak to the lives of the average person on the street. So, regardless of your age, if you are someone who struggles to find friends and acceptance, Hulvey's new song is for you. This song is specifically written to those of us who are starving for love.
Hulvey's brand new single and video "9th Grade" reminds us that ultimately our identity is not found in the acceptance of others but it's found in the fact that Jesus loves us. The video, which is director by Josiah Selvig and producer by Tanya Martineau, can be viewed here.
According to Hulvey, "9th Grade" came out of his own personal experience while he was growing up as a teenager. "Maybe it's all of us, 9th Grade Kids and we're starving for love. When I was in high school, I felt like everyone around me was changing. I wanted to belong and be invited to the parties but at the same time I knew I couldn't do what my friends were doing. This song is for the people that feel that way. You truly belong in Christ."
"9th Grade" is from Hulvey's latest album. Christopher is a 12-track project that features guest vocals by two time Grammy award-winning artist Lecrae, pop sensation SVRCINA, fellow labelmate Andy Mineo and Atlanta-based rapper BigBreeze. Recently, Christopher landed at No. #8 on Billboard Top Christian/Gospel Albums chart, #19 at Rap Albums chart, just one week since its release. Already the record has garnered almost 4 million streams across all DSPs.
Here are the lyrics of "9th Grade:"
I know those days gonna fade out
Da-da-da-da-da
I could've shown on the way out
Da-da-da-da-da
Yeah, my homies been doing drugs
I heard they drinking too much
But they don't tell me at all
I guess we fell out of touch
Maybe I don't do enough
They don't want me at the party
Guess I'll be at home
Maybe it's all of us
Ninth-grade kids and we're starving for love
Maybe it's all of us
Ninth-grade kids and we're starving for love
Friday nights, they just don't feel the same
Feel the same-same-same, yeah
How am I supposed to feel when everybody changed?
Whoa-whoa-whoa
I need love, now what's up?
Highs and lows, who gon' show up?
Fight for me, fight for us
Everybody lost your trust
Everybody knows your name
When I cry, who remains?
Tired of the lies, done with the games
I don't know what I came for
Maybe it's all of us
Ninth-grade kids and we're starving for love
Maybe it's all of us
Ninth-grade kids and we're starving for love
We want love, we want love, yeah
Ninth-grade kids and we're starving for love
Maybe it's all of us
Ninth-grade kids and we're starving for love
Save us all from ourselves
Save me from what comes to me so natural
When it's all said and done, who am I to judge?
'Cause you're not the only one
Maybe it's all of us
Ninth-grade kids and we're starving for love
Maybe it's all of us
Ninth-grade kids and we're starving for love
Ninth-grade kids and we're starving for love
Ninth-grade kids and we're starving for love
Maybe it's all of us
Ninth-grade kids and we're starving for love
