Fans Are invited to Pray for B.J. Thomas Who is Diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer

The family of music veteran B.J. Thomas would like readers and fans to pray for him. Thomas has revealed that he is suffering from stage four lung cancer. He is currently receiving treatment in a local health care facility in Texas, and is hopeful for a complete recovery.
"I just wanted to take this unique opportunity to share my gratitude to Gloria, my wonderful wife and my rock for over 53 years, my family, friends, and fans. I'm so blessed to have had the opportunity to record and perform beautiful songs in pop, country, and gospel music, and to share those wonderful songs and memories around the world with millions of you. I ask all of you for your prayers during this time and that my music can live on with you."
Though Thomas is known for his country and pop hits such as "Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head," "Hooked On A Feeling," I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry," "Don't Worry Baby," and many others, he has had also recorded many Gospel and Christian albums too.
One in particular is his 1994 Warner Brothers collection, Precious Memories, which features Thomas tackling a collection of 10 traditional hymns. About the album, one reviewer writes: "This is really a nice CD to have if you ever need to put something on to help you relax and be at peace after a stressful day. He has always been underrated. His voice is fantastic."
