Cory Asbury Tops Billboard's Year-End Christian AC Chart
Bethel Music singer/songwriter and worship leader Cory Asbury marks another milestone as his "The Father's House" lands at #1 on Billboard magazine's year-end Christian AC Songs chart. In addition, the GRAMMY® nominee and three-time Dove Award winner is ranked #4 on the publication's Christian AC Songs Artists chart; #6 among Christian Airplay Artists; and #6 on the Christian Streaming Songs Artists chart. Penned by Asbury, Ethan Hulse and Ben Hastings, "The Father's House" was the debut single from Asbury's critically acclaimed 2020 release, To Love A Fool.
"During a year in which most of us have been cooped up inside our houses, I'm thankful to radio stations across the country for inviting us into a greater reality-peace and rest in the Father's house," said Asbury. "I'm so grateful to know that my song was an anchor to many in the shifting seas of 2020. The assurance found in His presence will always provide hope in the storms."
Asbury's labelmate, GRAMMY® Award-nominated and Dove Award-winning singer/songwriter and worship leader Brandon Lake, was named Billboard's #5 Top New Christian Artist. Lake's acclaimed Bethel Music debut, House of Miracles, released in August and features 12 songs written or co-written by the artist. The project is highlighted by the debut single, "I Need A Ghost," along with his own versions of "Graves Into Gardens" and "RATTLE!," both co-penned by Lake and featured on Elevation Worship's best-selling Graves Into Gardens.
In addition to the achievements of its individual artists, Bethel Music continued to grow in overall impact as it garnered the #7 position on Billboard's year-end Top Christian Labels chart, as well as #5 among Top Christian Albums Imprints. The worship collective was Billboard's #14 Top Christian Artist of the Year, placing two albums in the Top 20 among Top Christian Albums: 2019's VICTORY and 2020's Peace. The label also released three of Christian music's best-selling songs of the year, with "Raise A Hallelujah" (#10), "Goodness Of God" (#14), and "The Father's House" (#15) all ranking in the Top 15 on Billboard's Christian Digital Song Sales chart.
