LeBron James Recruits Mike Miller to Cleveland, Former Heat Teammate Signs with Cavaliers for 2014-15 NBA Season
Lebron James is not taking it easy after deciding to head home to Ohio for next NBA season, he is already recruiting teammates to fill out the Cleveland Cavaliers rosters, just as he did with the Heat.
James is already showing his pull, as free agent Mike Miller has signed a 2-year deal with the Cavs. Miller actually had better offers on the table, he was offered a three-year deal worth $12 million by the Denver Nuggets, but instead opted for a two-year deal worth $5.5 million in which the veteran shooter has a player option following next season.
James and Miller played together on the Miami Heat for three seasons and became close friends. Miller hit 7 three pointers to close out one of the Heat championships. Miller, 34, averaged 7.1 points per game this past season with the Memphis Grizzlies.
Miller is a career 41 percent 3-point shooter, which is exactly what the Cavs needed was another perimeter shooter.
Another old teammate of Miller and James in Miami is Ray Allen. Lebron is trying to get him to come and sign with Cleveland as well. Allen is deciding between playing another season and retiring.
Lebron returns back to the Cavaliers four years after 'the decision' to make this right with his home town and his home town fans. You can tell that there would be no bigger thrill than for James to bring home an NBA championship to Cleveland, who have not had any professional championships in any sport in over 50 years.
