American Idol Alumni Scott MacIntyre and Wife Christina See Growth in 2020 with Scott MacIntyre Ministries

American Idol alumni and two-time kidney transplant recipient Scott MacIntyre, and his wife Christina, launched an international non-profit ministry in 2019 in order to lead people to faith in Jesus Christ through inspirational music and testimony. Since then, Scott MacIntyre Ministries, based in the couple's hometown of Scottsdale, Ariz., has attracted generous support, enabling the MacIntyre's to travel throughout the U.S. and overseas in support of its mission.
"Because of the generosity of others, new doors have opened for me and Christina to share about God's love in numerous school assemblies and church gatherings where we wouldn't be able to go otherwise," said Scott. "The more I minister to people of different backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs, the more I am convinced that God has blessed me as a blind person to speak the Gospel to people's hearts."
The ministry had its beginnings when Scott was a guest artist on an Alaskan Christian cruise in 2017. After his performance, a woman unexpectedly came up to Scott's merchandise table and wanted to give a monthly donation in support of his music ministry. This in turn led to people sending more donations, which in time led to Scott and Christina establishing Scott MacIntyre Ministries as a department of Artists in Christian Testimony Intl, a 501(c)(3) non-profit umbrella organization.
Once the ministry was established, it quickly grew with the couple traveling throughout the U.S. and overseas to give hope to people who are dealing with hardships. In late 2019, Scott was invited to Amman, Jordan in the Middle East where he spent eight days singing and speaking to refugee children and their families at a number of churches and schools. The written responses about Scott's visit were very powerful including this one from a pastor named Hythum. "Your testimony is so close to what our refugees go through, because though you don't have your sight, you see Jesus. Please keep sharing your message everywhere you go!"
Reaching children and students has become a major focus of Scott MacIntyre Ministries, as Christina and Scott both feel there's a huge opportunity to engage with them at the heart level."There is so much brokenness in both Christian and mainstream schools, and Scott and I want to remind the next generation that they are loved unconditionally by God," said Christina. "We've seen people leave our events with new hope to overcome addiction, depression and even thoughts of suicide."
During the Covid-19 pandemic, the ministry has continued encouraging students online through Zoom video webinars. Additionally, media has become an integral part of Scott and Christina's strategy, and the ministry will be launching its first TV Special in the fall of 2020. Further details will be announced in the near future.
Scott and Christina are asking for support of their ministry through prayer and financial giving so that more lives can be impacted. Additional information can be found at https://scottmacintyre.com/ministry.
