Wyatt Family Milestone, WWE SmackDown Viewership Down, Legends Used on RAW
July 8 marks the first year anniversary of the Wyatt Family's debut on WWE RAW. On that fateful day, Bray Wyatt with his followers Luke Harper and Erick Harper made their sinister presence felt in the professional wrestling world by mercilessly attacking and taking out Kane. Now who can forget seeing for the first time how the Wyatts then did their now signature dramatic entrance - the entire arena was darkened, then cult leader Bray with a lighted lantern led the way with Luke and Erick right behind him. Then of course they beat the hell out of Kane, who was apparently not prepared for the assault as he had just a few moments earlier fought and defeated Christian. Anyway, you can visit this section of the WWE website to "check out the WWE App's creepiest images of the most unpleasant family this side of the Kardashians."
In other wrestling news, the WWE SmackDown TV program which aired Friday just drew 1.881 million viewers, down from the 2.966 million viewers of last week's show. It's a pity considering that Friday's episode featured the SmackDown return of Chris Jericho (who is also the lead singer for heavy metal rock band "Fozzy" and author of the New York bestselling autobiography "A Lion's Tale: Around the World in Spandex"). Despite the drop in viewership, SmackDown was still #1 on cable that Friday night. Also, who can blame fans for not wanting to watch TV that Friday night - it was the Fourth of July and many would rather party.
Still in other wrestling news, WWE Legends Jamie Noble, Fit Finley, Dean Malenko, Joey Mercury and Mike "IRS" Rotunda were the agents used during the Kane and Roman Reigns segment of the last RAW episode. Reigns shoved Noble to the ring, but Finley took the spear from Reigns. Finley trended on Twitter following that segment of the show.
