C West Pens Moving Love song "West" for His Fiancée

22-year old singer-songwriter-guitarist, C West, has penned a plaintive new folk-rockish ballad about the life he dreams of with his real-life fiancée, Katie Soriano, whom he's dated since 2016. The hauntingly poetic ballad "West" (MBE/Tyscot/Warner Music Group) is set against a mellow acoustic template from which West sings of nearly empty gas tanks, waterfalls and the sun setting in the west. West is the sole musician, creating all of the accompanying atmospherics with his own voice and Taylor 214ce guitar.
"I wrote this song to express my love for Katie," says West. "I've always told her that she doesn't have to change anything about herself because she is already perfect for me. As we grew deeper in love, I realized that I did want her to change one thing: her last name. In the creative process of creating this song, I wanted to do a play on words with my last name, but I really struggled. I sat down and I asked God to help me write a song about her and that's when it all began to come together. Katie reminds me of a beautiful sunset. It rises in the east and it sets in the west. This song is about settling down." Link: https://smarturl.it/vv3qr0
Digital pre-orders start June 14th and the song releases to all DSPs on June 21st with a two-week sale price of .69 cents before the price rises to $1.29 on June 28th. An only child, the Buffalo, NY native was a self-proclaimed Jesus Freak as a teenager and as a result, was treated as an outcast by his high school peers. He often retreated to his bedroom with his guitar as his primary companion. They'd make heartfelt and sometimes dark music together. His musical influences range from Prince and Maxwell to Tori Kelly, Ed Sheeran and John Mayer. While a student at Villa Maria College, he won a "Discovered" singing contest sponsored by MBE Enterprises in Atlanta. First prize was a recording contract with MBE and Tyscot Records. His eclectic debut album, "Hide and Seek" (MBE/Tyscot), was released in 2017. The track "Through It All" has amassed over 125K Spotify streams.
