'Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1' New Trailer Teaser Released, Movie Opens Nov 2014 Starring Jennifer Lawrence (VIDEO)
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 is a few months away from it's November 2014 release and has unveiled a new video teaser for the highly anticipated movie starring Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson.
The teaser is not an actual trailer for the full movie, but a direct scene from the movie and only includes the characters of President Coriolanus Snow (Donald Sutherland) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson). Many fans wanted to get their first glimpse of Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) in the video, but they will have to wait.
It is a televised announcement from within the world of The Hunger Games from Panem and is recognized as a television program entitled Capitol TV. President Snow is reminding the citizens of Panem of the importance of their country with words such as "unity," "prosperity" and "sacrifice". The President concludes his speech saying that Panem will live on forever. Peeta Mellark is shown standing loyally on the right hand of President Snow towards the end when the shot pans out.
While Lawrence is not in this new teaser, her role in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 is more vital than ever. This film will pick up immediately where the last film, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire left off. Katniss, is devastated to learn that her former home, District 12 of Panem, has been obliterated into ashes and her close friend and seemingly love interest, Peeta, has been taken captive by President Snow and the wicked forces of the nation's capitol. Katniss reluctantly becomes the beacon of hope and newfound leader of the rebel forces forming to wage war against the capitol - naming her as "The Mockingjay".
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 is directed by Francis Lawrence from a screenplay by Danny Strong and Peter Craig and produced by Nina Jacobson's Color Force in tandem with producer Jon Kilik. The novel on which the film is based is the third in a trilogy written by Suzanne Collins that has over 65 million copies in print in the U.S. alone.
