Lauren Daigle's 'You Say' Soars to No. 1

Singer and songwriter Lauren Daigle's brand new single "You Say" soars to the #1 position on Billboard's Hot Christian Songs chart. The song makes a jump from 33 to the pole position. The song is the vanguard single from Daigle's new album Look Up Child.
The song's jump was sparked by the song's first-week sales of 37,000 (her best weekly sum) in the week ending July 19, according to Nielsen Music. The track opens atop Christian Digital Song Sales, where it's Daigle's fourth No. 1 and her first to debut at the summit.
Speaking to Billboard, Daigle exclaims: "It's incredible to see how 'You Say' has connected, not only with fans, but with people who might never have heard my music before. It's a powerful thing, to see how a song can bring people together and create a sense of community. I'm honored to see how unreal the support has been and I cannot wait for everyone to hear the entirety of Look Up Child."
Look Up Child is a 13-track record showcasing her signature powerhouse vocals and unique style, rich with personal testimony. From hit debut single "You Say," to spirited opener "Still Rolling Stones," and a special cover of"Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus," each song demonstrates a growth and maturity in Daigle's music, as she shares stories of trusting in one's identity as a child of God. Musically inspired by classics like Roberta Flack and Aretha Franklin, plus Daigle's Louisiana roots, Look Up Child is a soulful collection that reminds listeners to find joy amidst strife and hold onto the hopeful light Jesus provides.
