Karen Gibson & The Kingdom Choir's 'Stand by Me' is #1 After Royal Wedding Performance

Thanks to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal wedding on May 19, Karen Gibson & The Kingdom Choir's rendition of "Stand by Me" is currently #1 on Billboard Hot Gospel Songs chart. The song was originally a hit for Ben E. King in 1962.
Karen Gibson & The Kingdom Choir's version sold 9,000 downloads in the week ending May 24, according to Nielsen Music, sparking its No. 1 debut on the Hot Gospel Songs chart (which blends sales, airplay and streaming data) and Gospel Digital Song Sales, both dated June 2.
A young, vibrant group of up to 20 singers managed by experienced singer/director Karen Gibson, whose credits include backing vocals with such celebrities as Grace Kennedy and The Beautiful South. Kingdom Choir have performed extensively on TV and for many advertisements, corporate launches etc.
